Can someone tell me what the next step is after obtaining the

Naturalization Records of the family you are searching for please?

My ultimate goal is to find out if we have any living relatives outside of

the U.S.

Not sure if this is the response you are seeking....but I am assuming you do not have the town of origin and sent for the naturalization papers to confirm birthplace??
If so, once you know the town of origin, it is a simple matter to then do a search for persons living in that area with the surname, and then send out "potential relative letters"......

Also, once the town of origin is known, you can check for microfilmed records thru the Lds website. Depending on the dates, you can not only trace the lineage farther back, but may discover other decendants.
