Looking for Cesare DelCoro's immigration record

Post by gminfla »

I am trying to find my great uncle Cesare (Chester) DelCoro's immigration records and parents names. He was born in Potenza, Italy July 3, 1904 and died in Florida, April 1977. I've tried all of the searches in the Ellis Island site, but cannot come up with anything. I don't know the year he immigrated. I found his Social Security Death Index and I think he was too young for a WWI registration record. Please advise. Thank You.

According to that census (image below), he was born 1906'ish and emigrated in 1921. The only passenger manifest I found which meets those requirements is for a Donato Del Coro whose birthplace and last residence was Rapolla - a comune in the province of Potenza.

1930 census:

I'll check with some family, but I think this could be his immigration record. He was 17 in September of 1921, he was from Potenza and his father's name was Antonio (he named his first born son Anthony in the Italian tradition). Thank You.
