Sibilia

Post by Liza »

Every time i search for my great grandmother's last name Josephine Sibilia, i either find zero results or it comes up Spain. My grandfather said she was born in a town near naples and she married anthony cocciardi from Panni in Foggia. Her parents were Joseph and Concetta Sibilia. Id like to find the town in Italy the sibilias are from and any historical facts about them. Can you help me? On my other side the family name is Moffa. I get no results for this name either. They are from calabria. But i have no information about them. I don't even know if the name was shortened when they came to America's. But the Sibilia info is more important to me.

I found a Josephine Sibilia married to Carmine Cocciardi.
Carmine was born in Panni, Italy.
This Josephine was born 6 Oct 1894 in New Jersey.
3 sons: Mark, Anthony, Michael

I am not sure if this is your family or not.
Josephine's parents Antonio and Concetta
