Is there a surname database & if so how do I access it? I meant to say specifically for this forum on Italian Genealogy .com

Depends on what information you hope to find.

There's also a search feature; you can search the forums for posts about a particular name (I think that's what you are looking for?)
Roccanova/Magistra/Rubertone/Paduano of Craco, Matera, Basilicata AND Latorraca/Cassino/Petrocelli/Peluso of Saponara di Grumento (now Grumento Nova) & Moliterno, Potenza, Basilicata
