Re: MAZZONE'S
Very Well.... However, I would like his birth record and that should be located in Italian records, possibly in Tyrolean records if he indeed was born in Merano. Also, his brother Bartholomew was a priest in the Rocca Grimalda. Is it possible to locate his information through this church? Ciao, jackie

Re: MAZZONE'S
I believe John Mazzone's birthplace was
MERANO, town in the province of Bolzano, region of Trentino Alto Adige.
Now, how to find out if there are any living relatives still in Italy?
Thank you so much!!

Re: MAZZONE'S
That record is his. I am going to look at microfilm of naturalization records tomorrow...I think I located his film number..
Although--it says Giovanni Mazzone, not John...is this not common?

I'm not sure if vj is right because he was 48 yrs. old when he died according to the cemetery and if he was born in 1888 he would have been 49....or is it a simple mistake of records?

Your findings are CORRECT! That is my family.....
Now, what I want to do is see if there are any living relatives of the Mazzone family still living in Italy.
How do I do that? Thank you so much!
