Thanks, Nuccia. This must have been a cousin. The tradition of naming the first male offspring after the grandfather caused a proliferation of Liborios at that time. (My GGGF was one of seven brothers). My GF was born 1871 and his wife was Maria Santa.

It looks to me that there were 2 Liberio Baldanzas who were cousins. One was listed as a baker and came to meet the other one in NJ. One or both of them made trips back and forth to Italy.

The baker angle interests me because there was a Baldanza's Bakery in Long Branch, NJ for many years. I don't know if this is the same family. I would suggest you look at all these manifests. There is a lot of information to sort through.

Could you explain what this information is? Are these ship manifests? My Liborio came over in 1905 and again in 1912. We have extremely distant cousins who were the Baldanzas bakery fame. In fact, all of the Baldanzas I have ever met can trace their roots to 7 brothers in Geraci Siculo in the mid 1800's

i believe that these are the same person. Liborio must have changed his name to Louis within those 10 years.
