vj...what's throwing me off a bit is we did not know of any Ugo in the family...the others kids names seem to match up well. Also, Giuseppa Bruno was married to Giuseppe Accardo at least when she had her kids not sure who Vittorio is. We do now that one of her children, Vincenza Accardo, married a DiVitorrio.

Here are 1920 and 1930 Census for Josephine and Nick Bennett, I am trying to confirm this is the same Josephine Accardo that is sibling of Antonia.

It would seem that katherine was born in 1872, according to this that is about the year her parents got married! So if there was a Ugo he mus be younger than Katherine. I believe you posted Ugo as being born in 1878, so we must have found a missing uncle. Still not able to verify.

In speaking to the grand daughter, they are puzzled but offer the theory that Carlos and Josephine his sis were adopted.

When I showed them the manifest you found it was the first time they had seen it.

They are also trying to figure out where the name DiVittorio came from and why he took that name and also where Ugo comes from.

This is truly a mystery and we may have to go back to birth records in the comune to solve....
