Leonardo Tufaro from Potenza

Leonardo Tufaro was my Great-Grandfather, he married my Great-Grandmother her name was Elizabeth. I have been trying for months to find out her maiden name. With no success. Leonardo was from the Basilicata Region. Something tells me she was from another region(Abruzzi). It might have been something I heard as a child, normally they married from there own towns. Is there a way to find out what her maiden name was?

I suppose this has something to do with your request for prior to 1891 entry into the USA at NYC? Do you know the town of origin in Basilicata. Just what information do you have? Peter

<BR>The town is Terranova di Pollini I really appreciate all the help and knowledge you have given me. Our family trip to Italy is on hold until world issues get better. I am not someone doing this for a hobby I need this information in order to find out were my grandmother and her parents are buried it\'s somewhere in NYC without my grandmothers maiden name I cannot do anything. The one cemetrey we think they might be file by exact day of death. My brother wants to move them into a Masoleum next to my mothers family and my parents. I would appreciate any help you can give me.

For NYC then go to www.vitalrec.com/NY.html and it would help if you knew the borough they lived in before they died. Please let me know how you make out. Peter

Go to the nearest FHLibrary nearest you home and look up the microfilm for the town of originTerranova di Pollini and search out the birthdate of the ancestor who came to the USA. Look up the Mormon church Family History Library for directions and hoiurs. Peter
