Andreano, Francisco
Andreano, Francisco
Searching for Francesco Andreano originally from Casalvecchio Italy. I received a letter from a Pasquale Andreano in Italy stating that my grandfather had 2 other brothers that we never knew about. I think I might have found a Francesco that lived in Ohio but wondered if anyone out there is looking for the same family?
Re: Andreano, Francisco
My future husband may be a descendant of one of the brothers. His great grandfather came to the US in the late 1800s. He lived in Rochester, NY. My future father in law was estranged from his father so I know very little of the family except what was written down regarding the genealogy by one of his relatives. His name was Anthony "Tony" Andreano. He was born in 1868 in Italy. He married a Pasqualina "Nellie" Marks. He owned a grocery store in 1910. There is a picture of his son, Ernest A. Andreano in front of the store in the 1950s or so. Any information you can provide regarding a possible connection would be great. I know he came in to the US in approximately 1892, however I have been unable to locate him in any of the ship records or emmigration records.

Do you know where in Italy he was born? I am also looking for a Francisco Andreano who came to the US. My grandfather was Giovanni Andreano and I recently found out that he had 2 other brothers we never knew about. But I have no information of my grandfather's mother or father.
I did find a brother still in Italy but could not find Francisco. I doubt that this Francisco might be related as most of the Andreano's settled in Mass.
In Casalvecchio Italy most of the town people where and still are named Andreano. They are very well known in that town.

I do not know where he was born. I was assuming in the same town in Italy that you had found for the same reason. It is the only place I can find any connection to the name Andreano. From what I have found in the census for 1910 and 1920 I know he was born in Italy. I have identified 3 sons- Joseph, Frank, and Ernest as well as a daughter- Florence. He died before 1920 according to the census.

To krote:
Here's what I have: There where 4 brothers: Pasquale- Giuseppe-Giovanni and Francesco.
All but Pasquale immigrated to the US in 1904 to Franklin Mass. From what I gathered the father's name was Nicola who died in 1918.
I will see what other information I can get. Do you have a birth date or death date of Francesco?
