Oh.... parli italiano... Prego , sono davvero felice di poter aiutare a cercare le proprie radici...
Adesso il consiglio è quello di scrivere al Comune di Premia per chiedere la copia originale dell'atto di Nascita di Filippo Marini:

http://www.comune.premia.vb.it/ComUffici.asp

I chechek for you also the database:

Allegati di Morte - Domodossola - 1908 and found the official announcement who was sent from the Hospital to the Comune fo Domodossola to declare the death of Giuseppe Marini.
The hospital was:
Ospedale di San Biagio della città di Domodossola

Marini Giuseppe died in that hospital on 12 september 1908 at 9 p.m.
Age 77
Occupation: farmer
Place of birth: San Rocco di Premia
Place of residence: San Rocco di Premia
Civil status: married with D'Andrea Margherita
First and last name of the father: Giovanni Marini
Occupation: farmer
Place of residence: San Rocco di Premia
First and last name of the mother: ===
Occupation: farmer
Place of residence: San Rocco di Premia

I have no doubt that Giuseppe was born and married Margherita in San Rocco di Premia, and his son Filippo was born there...

Does it appear that Carlo was his middle name or his first given name?

Associated Passenger - #0670 Marini, F.
Date of Arrival - Dec 10, 1892
Port of Departure - Havre

He traveled with A. Marini (19 Years Old) and G. Marini (52 Years Old - but not old enough to be his father in that year).

The F is obviously for Filippo which I am guessing was his middle name and the name on the census records.

this is the arrival manifest image:

Being an early arrival manifest it doesn't list the place or origin but it very well could be the correct one for your ancestor...
