I saw this child in the Cook County death index but there were no parents' names given in that index and I was wondering about him.

Thanks, Peg :-)

I found a manifest (1904) for another(?) Giuseppe Bottino, 29, from Belmonte, who was traveling with his wife Maria Casella, 29, and 2 year old child. They were going to his brother-in-law Antonio Casella in NY...

What do you make of it?

I don't know, T, but I was thinking that there was the possibility of each of them, or at least one of them, having been married before.

Earlier, I actually looked in the NYC marriage index to see if there was a marriage for them.

She also had quite a few children in her 40s, if her age on the census is accurate

You can't find any of the other census records for them-like the 1920? I only have a subscription to Heritage Quest through my local library, but you can't do a sound search on that, and nothing is coming up for them in 1920. I've been trying to vary the surname by hand, and no luck with that, plus they may have been enumerated with someone else. I am anxious to compare the info on it to the info on the 1930.

I haven't been able to locate them in 1920, or in 1910... :-(

Will keep trying...name must be wildly misspelled. Or they're not in the census for one reason or another...

Forget it. I see the certificate and no parents are listed on it. What was the address on the other child's certificate? I have to look at that.
