So I need contact info for the DOHMH in NYC to deal with name discrepancies. The clercs there have no idea what to do when I bring it up so I need some guidance I just need a letter stating my grandfather is who is on his death and birth certificate and for my great grandmother. Someone please help!

Do they respond quickly to email? and will it be annoying to have two services contact them then request it myself ? His birth certificate is American. if they amend his birth certificate would I have to ammend his marriage certificate. more importantly MY GGF naturalization record list him on living with him as felice. could american death certificates be ammended?
