How important is it to have a letter stating no amending
I wanted to get a letter from my local vital records office stating they dont amend records but they are being complete jerks. I don't think I will get one. The embassy must know by now that most places are against amending, right? I figured even with the letter they would tell me to get everything ...

Re: How to know when your citizenship has been approved by I
Can someone explain to me the process of what happens after the meeting at the embassy. For instance the consulate person examines the documents and then what happens? Do they see if they are ok and then send them to Rome? Who makes the final approval? I seem to be under the idea from reading here t...

Of course I lucked out and scored a cancellation my first time calling and t...

Re: Ran into possibly huge roadblock today
Why cant you get an appointment? How can they make amending a record an impossibility. She told me I will have to prove that Louis is the wrong name. I said all of his legal records and say Luigi and the crap she then said was not even worth remembering. She said they have never allowed a record to...

1300 bucks for translation...had no idea
Dropped off my docs on friday for translation, guy said he would call me today with quote. I was expecting it be like 300-400. There are 12 documents, birth, marriage, death, and some other stuff. Now I am scrambling to find something cheaper as my appointment nears closer. This project has cost me ...

But then it says so and so never renounced Italian citizenship before any Italian authority and lived in ____ since age 18 for so many years. S...
