He came from Marsico Nuovo, Italy in approx late 1880s According to the 1920 census he moved to NJ His birthdate was May 30, 1872 or 73. His name was Giovanni Marsicovetere, when he moved to NJ on the 1920 census his name was John and the clerk spelled it wrong and wrote Marsicovite and then in 1930...

My GGrandfather came to NYC from Italy around 1885-1890s but i cannot find a record of him anywhere is it impossible?I found a record of him on ellis island it has his name but the year is 1903 so that can't be him.
