I have lots of details of a Libera Cafolla, daughter of Domenico Cafolla and Maria Forte from Mortale. Do please get in touch as I can trace her back to the late 1600s on my family tree.

Hi Jessica, Good to hear from you although I am very sad to hear about Rosa. I am in touch with her daughter, Anna, and I am sorry to hear the news. I am one of the Brighton Fortes and we knew Olimpio well. He was my sister's godfather and we used to visit Olimpio and Iolanda regularly. I think you ...

Thanks, Peter. I will write to them and may visit in the Spring. I've googled Cesano and there is no reference to a german camp other than in Jane Scrivener's book. I'll keep trying.

Re: Looking for Forte, Matassa, Di Adamo, Gizzi, Capocci, Cr
Thanks Peter. I recently got a copy of "Inside Rome with the Germans" and have just finished reading it. An amazing account and it does mention Cesano three times, saying in particular, how dreadful the conditions were there. I was looking for more detailed information on my great grandmot...

Does anyone know how to get information on people taken to the Nazi Camp at Cesano, just north of Rome in c. 1943/1944 ?

Re: Looking for Forte, Matassa, Di Adamo, Gizzi, Capocci, Cr
Hi Dino, Great to hear from you. I've met your grandparents many times in Mortale/Monforte. Our house is the one that backs on to their garden. I have been working hard on our family tree and have various members of the family working on their sections. I could certainly email you what I've got and ...

Di Adamo from Castrocielo
Looking for anyone who knows anything about the DI ADAMO family from Castrocielo. In particular, my great grandfather, who was called Vincenzo Di Adamo, born c. 1866 and married Maria Giuseppa Forte from Casalattico. They had two children, Libera Filomena and Vincenza. Maria Giuseppa died in a germa...

Hi Marisa,
Thanks.
Doing well with Gizzis and Crollas, thanks to Michel Vacca. Have traced Gizzis back to mid 1700s, Ferris slightly earlier, Crollas back to mid 1500s.
Can you tell me more about how you got hold of the Casalattico records via the Mormons?
Best wishes,
Paul

Re: Looking for Forte, Matassa, Di Adamo, Gizzi, Capocci, Cr
Hi Marisa, Have managed to get hold of a tree that I did with my father about 20 years ago. He must have thought that Ita's parents were Carmine and Maria, but I'm sure that was wrong. Was Ita's brother David the one from Melrose? Also, Maria who married Ralph had a son, Tony, who married Velma, who...

Thanks If she is a first cousin to all of these, sadly Patrizia died last night.
Ita's grandmother was Caterina Antonia, sister of my great grandmother Maria Teresa. I think that makes her my second cousin once removed!
