Tina Mortali Passport Application 30 Oct 1919

Note that she does not give her maiden name but states she was born in Avlino Italy. She is travelling to bring her mother back to the states.

Unable to find a town called Avlino.

You're welcome. I've been trying to locate a ship manifest with her and her mother on it to verify that she did bring her mother back to the US as well as the manifest for Concettina's first trip, but thus far no luck.

Birthdate on Passport App differs from the one you posted.

Thanks again.
I do not believe that is her as the birth date would be different than listed on her passport. I don't believe her father came to the USA as listed as who she was going to meet??
Are there any other sites that list ship manifests other than Ellis Island?

Thank you for the information from the manifest.and the draft cards .
It looks like prinzess irene is probably the ship he came on. Can anyone read the name and address of the relative that Carmine was going to visit AND the name and address of nearest relative in the country whence alien came.
Also still wondering if anyone would know what ship Concettina Alvino came on or where I could look for that information?

Hi Nanjm,
it's difficult for me too (I'm italian) read the name of the nearest relative in Italy, surely is his mother and it seems last name Braine (but in Italy doesn't exit, perhaps it was Braile) and first name Grazione (doesn't exist, maybe Graziosa?) ...hope someone else can help!
Carmine was going to Crotti?? Alfonso living in New York 2159 - 4th Street.

I've searched so much to find also concetta/Concettina/Tina arrival manifest but with no luck :(

The word before Alfonso looks like broth:, an abbreviation for brother.

Interesting WWI Draft Card for Alfonso Alvino
DOB: 20 June 1890
Place of birth: Avellino Italy
Same address, same occupation, same employer as Carmine's WWI card.

1920 census showing Carmine living with Alfonso Alvino and family
Same address as WWI Draft Cards
