I have been going through the birth register for my relatives in Campodipietra. Each one is in a typed form, with some phrases added in longhand. I can pick out some things because I know a little French, like the names, months, dates and times. But because I don't know enough about the text linking everything together, I'm afraid I might be missing something.

This is my best guess as to what was written into the form for one of my relatives. Anything in square brackets is the handwritten part and may not be transcribed correctly.

In this particular form, I believe what it's saying is that Mariagiovanna is born on Feb 3, 1885 at 9:40am, to Vincenzo Albino and Angelamaria Carlone. I'm not sure about Guiseppe - is he the notary public, or
something like that? And what's going on between Vincenzo's name and Angelamaria's name in the second paragraph? Third paragraph is lost on me. And it seems like the fourth one is the notarized part? Are they saying Angelamaria isn't signing it because she's illiterate?

A few questions, but not really translation questions, so if I should move this to another forum, please let me know ...

"in the house in Vico Neviera, nr. 17" .... would Vico Neviera be a section of town? Is that an address of their home? A hospital? Would the witnesses Cefaralli Giuseppe and Di Maio Saverio be neighbors or good friends? Would they have actually been present at the birth?

Yes, its the address of their home. "Vico" (or "Vicolo") means street.
The witnesses have usually some kind of relation with the family, but nothing from this act tells us what kind of relation it was.
