My grandfather's family came to the US from San Giuseppe in Sicily. He was Salvatore married to Francis ( I think...) children were Charlie,Joseph, Anna, Jimmy and Jonny. They lived in Frankfort NY and eventually Rochester NY. They were farmers. My grandfather, James was born in 1908. Any info would be great. My Dad is quite ill and I was hoping to give him a special christmas gift...

Frankfort - Miss Jennie Angelina Dee,
daughter of George Dee, 100 Orchard Street,
Frankfort and James F Di Giovanni son of Mr
and Mrs Salvatore Di Giovanni, Rochester,
were married Saturday at St Mary’s Church by
Rev. Edward Hogan, pastor.

The bride wore a gown of bridal satin with a long
flowing train and a tulle veil attached to a lace
halo cap. She carried a bouquet of white roses and
baby breath.
The maid of honor, Miss Katherine Kipper, wore
a gown of blue crepe with a maribou cape and
carried a bouquet of pink roses.
The brides niece, Miss Grace Iocovossi, was bridesmaid
and wore a pink cape gown and velvet turban to match
and carried pink roses.
James Cirello, Frankfort, was best man.

Mrs Di Giovanni was a member of the Frankfort High
School class of 1932, of the girls basketball team.
She is captain of the Girl Scouts troop 2, and a member
of the Kappa Sigma sorority.
Mr Di Giovanni, formerly of Frankfort, moved to
Rochester about eight years ago.

A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the
bride. After a motor trip through the western part
of the state, Mr and Mrs Di Giovanni will make their
home in Rochester.
Looks like your grandfather married the girl next door :D

You cannot believe how much this means to me. I am so touched and so moved by your generosity. Today is my birthday...This is by far the best gift I ever had.
My grandparents were wonderful people...I miss them.
