Just looked in one of my books "Americans of Italian descent in Philadelphia and vicinity" and I didn't see any Feriola's listed.

What exactly are you looking for? Living relatives?

Ancestry.com has a pretty good living people finder if that's what you want. Maybe there are some still in the area. It has phone listings- you can call and see if there's a connection.

Using the following site, you can check for those persons who carry your surname in Nicastro, you also have the option of using the province or region as a search query.

cognome = surname
dove = town, province or region
cerca = search

Form letter for potential relatives.

Italian Letter Writing Guide

Also, if you are interested in researching the family history, the Lds does have limited microfilm available:

I wonder if Feriola is a corrupted spelling. I checked the surname site and got no hits. www.gens.labo.net/en/c...enera.html

You can use this site above. It usually tells you how common the surname is and maps what areas it's found in. Very useful site!

Type in the last name under "cognome" in the top left corner and you'll see what I mean.

"cognome non trovato" means name not found.

If you can find a ship record or something that may have her maiden name on it using varied spellings that might help.

Do you think it could be Fiorella and someone got it mixed up? There is info. on the Fiorella bros. in Philly from the Historical Soc. of Penn. (See the link I posted below).

www.hsp.org/default.aspx?id=741

You can also contact the society and see if they can give you any info.
