Lots of great help here at ItalianGenealogy......but we need for you to start your own topic as Nuccia already stated...otherwise, your family information gets mixed in with the original posters family info, not to mention that person ends up with topic notifications for research that does not concern their family.......we are more than happy to help and will wait for your posting of a new topic.

Did he also live in Trumbell Co, OH?.......
Found a WWI draft card from there for a Giovanni Camadeca b. 2/1/1895 Italy. Date off, but that's not unusual.

Lisa, I hope you don't mind. I copied & pasted your 1/16 post & sent it "pm" to ANDREAMILLER.
Hopefully, we'll get a new post for this.

Hey Melissa!!
I'm related you! I've already PMed you... yes I know this post is very old. I do hope that you still visit to see this message.
Our last name was actually Cito. When you say Cito in Italian it is pronounced as we say it now. If you say Chito in Italian, it comes out "key-toh." They were told by Americans to say their name properly that they would need to add an H. As I am sure you know, that H wasn't very helpful to us at all. Anyway, my grandfather's b-cert says Cito, Cheffo (or something) and then Chito.
Hope I was helpful! =)

Hello Melissa and Nunccia,
Today is Jan 25, 2009. I just found your correspondence on Frank Chito and Rose. I am Carol, the daughter of Angeline, and had an uncle Tat. Frank Chito married Rose Digostino July 20, 1929. I thnk Frank had Rose brought over from Italy. Frank Chito was my mother's ( Angeline ) stepfather. Rose and Frank later had children, Frankie, Carl, Theresa, and Mary, who were my aunts and uncles. Frank had been married prior to Rose, and had John, Joe and maybe Anthony.
When Rose died when my mother was 12, and Frank remarried..must have been Teresa Campbell. I remember my mother saying the new wife threw away lots of old family photos. My grandmother Rose, also went by the name Rose Maria Muno.
I know there are grandchildren of Frank around probably still in Youngstown. There is a Joann that I barely remember.
hope this helps you.
Carol R

Hey Miss Carol!
I’m Kristi, Paul was my father. My mother said you knew him. Yes, we are all around Youngstown area and beyond.
I am so sad about the fact that I have NEVER EVER seen a picture of my great grandpa Chito or my great grandma Rose. :_( Do you have a picture that you can scan for me?? It would mean the world to me!!! :_)
I went digging around about 12 years ago. This is so unbelievable and awesome! I found our great/great great aunt, Rose Muno’s sister. I don’t know how I did. I asked God to help, so I have to give him the credit. Get this! At that time, she was still alive!! I met her!!! She was a cute older lady in her late 90s. She spoke half English and half Italian. Her house was covered in plastic. =) She has since passed away, but I got a little information from her. As I went back looking into records here is what I found… My grandfather also told us the story that Rose was sent for from Italy. That wasn’t true. Rose’s sister told us that she only married Francesco to get a citizenship; hence, the short marriage with no children. We were asking questions about great grandma Rose, where she lived and any and everything. She didn’t want to give much information out. She had claimed that they knew each other in Italy before they came. Rose didn’t come straight from Italy. She was also trying to cover this up and tell the same story; but she let Rose’s other last name slip out. She was married to another man, before she married our grandfather. They were living with his parents in Youngstown. I found all 4 of them living in the same house in a censes the year before she married Francesco. Just to make sure, I checked the previous censes, the next censes and checked if they had children. I found nothing. Rose’s sister had quite the past herself. No where did I see either of them at any point with the same last name. I started to question if she even told me and the government the truth that they were in fact sisters by blood; or they were good friends that considered their selves to be sisters. But she also told me that Francesco had family in Italy that is still living. When I asked if they had family in Italy still living, she wouldn’t answer… She would speak Italian, as if I couldn’t understand her, and answer as if I was talking about Francesco. When I was insistent, she said none of her family was alive. Her son was there and knew what she was doing, so he changed the subject. But the look on his face would suggest otherwise. Not long after this, I just completely quit out of frustration. I’m trying to find up my old floppy disc with all the family information that I had found. I can’t find it. :_(
Sometimes I just feel like going to Italy and looking in the phone book, town records or something. Maybe going there in person to try to dig something up might be better than looking here.
Oh, and what’s with the tuna boat story that John told. Was he just kidding? X-)

Hi Kristi,
So you are Paullie's daughter, and he died several years ago? His mother was Millie and father was Carl? I saw Millie down here in San Antonio about 3 or 4 years ago. She married a man named Ramunno, and his son lived here and they would come down for the holidays. She looked good. Is she still alive? I think Mr. Ramunno may have died. He had cancer. I tried calling last year but the phone had been disconnected. You all live in Millie's former home? Correct?
Anyway, that is so cool you found Rose's sister. My mother NEVER mentioned her, and I knew there was something very suspitious about Rose's past. My mohter said she was young and always said she came over on the boat but did not remember. So Angie was born here?? The poor theng went thru naturalization process to get her citizenship after we came to Texas in 1965.
You can e mail me at reiss51 @ yahoo.com, and yes I have 2 pictures of your great grandfather and one of Rose. I will either have then scanned or copied and enlarged. Sned me your email or mailing address.
