buon gornto wldspirit:), thanks for the info, i note that salvatore ridente is listed as his friend but on the image link you sent, i think he is listed as his brother in law?...i think my grandfather had a sister who came to the usa before he did, would be interested in that angle. I am not sure how to start a new thread?, thank you sincerely, Nastygunz

Looking at a 1930 census of Salvatore Ridente and wife Mary:

1930 United States Federal Census
Name: Salvatore Ridente
Home in 1930: Waltham, Middlesex, Massachusetts
Age: 55
Estimated birth year: abt 1875
Birthplace: Italy
Relation to Head of House: Head
Spouse's name: Mary
Race: White
Age at first marriage:
Salvatore 24, Mary 15.
Household Members:
Salvatore Ridente 55 - Immigration 1907.
Mary Ridente 46 - Immigration 1911.
Nancy Ridente 17
Grace Ridente 15
Nelli E Ridente 14
Joseph Ridente 10
Anna Ridente 3 7/12

I checked the WW 1 draft registration, Salvatore's wife is listed as Maria.
If she in fact came in 1911, she would have been about age 27....need to find a manifest for her and see what info is listed to make a connection.

Also a link for the town of interest:

Correct spelling of the surname appears to be PROFETTO.

Lee? Hi wldspirit, thanks for all the effort. I just got my grandparents marriage certificate back from NYC, fascinating. I know have both my parents birth certificates, their marriage certificate, my grandparents naturalization papers, and now their marriage certificate. I am thinking the next needed item to pursue Jure Sanguines is my grandparents birth certificates?...leading to my next question, their place of birth is always listed as Aragona or Aragone, Girgente, Italy. I think Aragona is the town? so is Girgente the province or county?, any help would be appreciated, what a fascinating journey this has been for myself and my 8 siblings. Thank you sincerely, NG
