Lucas Bregante....he travel to Ecuador about 1868

Hello - i`m new to this site. I am unable to find the place where my gggf came from Italy.
Came to Esmeraldas (Ecuador) in 1868, he has a daughther (my ggm) with and he baptize her on this year.
The GGGF name is Lucas Bregante.
I dont know the year of his birth.
Only know he travel in a ship to Esmeraldas,Ecuador about 1867-1868 .

As well as the persons mentioned in the link posted by Pink, in the current pagine bianche (Italian phone book) there is 1 person living in the Ligurian comune of Castiglione Chiavarese by the name of: Luca Bregante.
